The popular and trendy J​ordaan ​is one of the most famous districts in Amsterdam. A vibrant community spirit of old remains as its youthful residents enjoy a number of quality restaurants, galleries, and independent shops.

Beginning just west of Centraal Station, Jordaan arches around the Canal Ring between Prinsengracht and Lijnbaansgracht before it ends at the Leidsegracht.

The north is typically more of a tourist haunt, while the south is a little quieter, ideal for young professionals and those with young families.

Traditional bars such as Café Nol have a reputation for being the home of a good old fashioned Dutch knees up, with plenty of singing thrown in for good measure.
